The back has a unique inscription about the hand-painted natural science illustration originally in watercolor. "American Robins are part of the thrush family and close relatives to bluebirds and nightingales, with no relationship to the European Robin.  They eat berries and as much as 14 feet of worms in a day! Their eggs are a beautiful distinctive blue and a pair can raise up to three broods a year. Juveniles have spots on their chest that later become a bright golden orange."
